Casino

I went to the Casino tonight for the first time. Went with my dad and spent 20$ on slots. It was a lot of fun. I can see myself getting adicted to that. I at one point i had doubled the 5$ i put in but then lost it. I then one pretty big and decided to cash out. At the last second i said, "one more time." Which naturally meant that i lost. I ended up cashing in at 19.25$, so i actualy only lost 75 cents. We then sat in traffic fo rlike half an hour trying to leave the damn parking garage! My dad got in a big fight with the tollbooth guy cuz he didn't wan't to pay for the extra half hour. In the end we got the management's number and payed the cash. My Dad's not gonna let this rest, on principle.

On the way to the Casino we also saw about 20 minutes of fireworks. It's Natal Day Weekend here in Halifax, so there are celebrations here until Monday.

Where does the time fly?!

Well, it seems that i haven't posted in a week! Damn. That's not very good at all...Completely unacceptable. Course I don't think many people actualy read this, so not so many people getting dissapointed for me not writing.

Anyway, I've been up to a lot, or actually not that much. Gotta try to remember what I did. Til the weekend I mostly hung out with my family and grandparents. Sunday I went to my old camp-Camp Kadimah for visitors day. Monday I hung out with my cousin Eric. Saw the movie Pi. Pretty good movie. Confusing. The whole thing is in Black and White. Tuesday night my cousin Daniel and my friend Michael came to Halifax from camp so we hung out and went to a bar call "Peel Pub". Not a bad place. Completely different atmosphere than back home. Enjoyed three 2$ beers, Nova Scotia's finest- Alexander Keiths. Keiths is pretty good beer, and the first beer that I actualy liked. Then we hit McDonalds. I sat there. Then I went home.
Did some shopping yesterday. I've bought a lot of great clothes while I've been here. Last night I went with my dad to check out Future Shop. I was captured by the Toshiba Tablet PC. I have to have it! It was on sale for only 2000 CND, which is a great price. We then went to Chapters- a book store. Bought a book on anatomy and physiology. Never studied that and it's suddenly interested me.

And that's about it. I worked for two days this week but that will be post of it's own. As you probably noticed, I included a bunch of links in this post. This was so you can a) understand what I'm talking about by seing their site (i.e. a bar i went to) b) makes it easier for you guys to read about something that may interest you (i.e. a movie i saw) and c) for more details than I put in the blog (i.e. to see which book Ii bought). The plane ride from hell

I made it to Halifax finally. What a disaster! I left NY yesterday at 2pm. My flight was supposed to take-off at 1745 so we figured by the time we get to Newark Airport and check in, security, ritualistic shoe removal etc. We wouldn't have to wait to long till boarding time. Boy were we wrong! The flight was delayed by just over an hour to 1850 just as we got to the airport at 1450. The flight continued to get delayed as the afternoon and night went on...2040..2100...2115...2200...We ended up taking-off at 2230..bout an hour and a bit later, as we get just over Halifax, they tell us due to fog we can't land so we're gonna go to Bangor, Maine to wait it out. We landed there and refuel. After about half an hour they say the fogs not letting up, we're flying back to Newark. We land in Newark and about 3 am and I was given the privilege of standing in line to get new tickets for a flight later that day (today). Got a ticket (thank god!) and decided to walk around the terminal for a while see if anything was open. The entire was deserted. It was like being locked in the mall after it closes. Everything was closed and the only people around the entire terminal were the cleaning ppl. The only things open were a Dunkin Donuts and some sandwich place at the other end of the terminal. Wanted a doughnut but the line was long so I esttled for a snapple from the sandwich place. Returned to the gate where I slept on the floor for a few hours with an airline blanket and pillow. It wasn't comfortable but those who know me well, know that I had no trouble at all falling asleep. Got up at bout 530 after a few hours of sleep and got on the plane. Slept the whole way here and now I'm here. Well that's all I have to report for now. I will talk a bit about my trip in the states later when I have the time a patience to write more. I have some pictures to to post but have no way to post them at the moment, so that will have to wait till later.

In the states

So i made it here. I'm in Florida visiting my grandparetns. Tomorrow i head to New York to see Columbia. I'v had a great time here in florida. At the airport on the way here they changed my gate three times so i walked allover that place. They also make you take or your shoes which i think is the most rediculous thing in the world but whatever. My flight from Newark to Florida was also delayed by 2 hours. Not so fun. Im tired and gotta go pack.

Leaving

Well, today's the big day. Going west. My last few days haven't been anything special. Monday night I met Katz, Ren and Nadiv at Mike's after work. Went with Katia and Sivan and Erez met us a bit later. I'v got a bit more packing to do and then I'm going out for dinner and meet up with a few friends to say bye. Then, off to the airport.

I don't know what to title these posts

Didn't do to much on Friday. Went shopping. Didn't go to the beach in the end as we had planned. Katz, Nadiv and Ren all cam to my place for dinner. Had a good time and then went to Ren's place to chill. Saw Tali, Candy and Ele. Then Hurwitz came. Got home at about 3:30 and slept til like 13:00. Slept for a few more hours in the afternoon. Rented a movie-tears of the sun, or something like that. Bruce Willis. A movie about a war in Nigeria. Good movie. Saw it with Nadiv, Katz, Ren and Hurwitz. Got home at about 1:30 and instead of sleeping I watched tv til like 3:00 than slept til 6 when I got up to go to base. Day went by quickly because I worked hard. Didn't really have a minute to breathe all day. Got home and went out for dinner witht he family. Relaxed at home for a while and i think I'll go to sleep soon. Long day tomorrow, onyl gonna finsih at about 21:00.

I gave up sleep to drive...pathetic

Well, I didn't go out last night. People were tired, myself included and so I stayed home, watched some tv and went to bed pretty early. I'm getting too old too quickly. Got up today, on my day off, at 6:45. Reread that last sentence. One more time. No I'm not kidding. Yes, I actually got up before 7am on my day off to go for a driving lesson. I didn't even go back to sleep when I got back...I don't know what to do with myself...

What a boring ass day

Well the title is pretty self explanatory... My day consisted almost entirely of sitting in my office and doing nothing. I think I slept for like half an hour, at least that was positive. Anyway, good to be home for the weekend. Dunno if I'm actually gonna go out tonight, people are tired. So it goes. I fly next Wednesday to the states. Yeah! Ok, enough enthusiasm, I may hurt something.

First Post

So this is my first post here. I've had a few blogs in the past, which I was using to publish pictures from my cell phone camera but they didn't work so well and so I stopped using them. At the moment I have neither the time nor the patience to write anything of interest to anyone...I'm also lacking the most important thing- anything of interest to anyone...
